Laboratory analysis of acute acetaminophen overdose patients in Emergency Medical Centers: including analysis of one toxicological laboratory data

Purpose: Acetaminophen (APAP) is a widely available drug responsible for large part of drug-induced hepatotoxicity in developed countries. Although acetaminophen overdose cases Korea are being continuously reported, there no reports related to the level this patient's blood or laboratory analysis at emergency departments (ED). This study sought analyze toxicological and survey APAP services offered select EDs. Methods: We analyzed demographic analytic data run by National Emergency Medical Center (NMC) 2019-2020. surveyed service 38 regional medical centers (EMCs) 68 local EMCs near laboratory. Results: studied 175 acute poisoning (112 women) with positive results (mean age 47.0±24.1 years). Suicide attempts comprised 40.0% 30.3% events. In univariate analysis, we observed that patients were significantly younger, fewer underlying diseases. There higher number events, more favorable initial mental status, toxic quantity intake above treatment line group (p<0.05), multivariate amount was frequent (p<0.01). Hospital six (3/38 3/68 local).
